My Project
My students come to class eager to learn everyday. Many of my students come from low-income families. A large portion of our students receive free/reduced-price lunch.
More than half of my class does not have a snack to bring every day.
It is a proven fact that students will learn better when their bellies are full which is why I am requesting Cheese-its, fruit snacks, crackers, and some chips! When they do not have to concentrate on hunger or when they will eat again, they are able to concentrate on learning!
