My Project
Research has shown eating healthy foods can enhance memory, processing and alertness. Many of my students struggle with focusing due to a number of outlying factors and hunger should not be one of them.
My classroom is a substantially separate pre-kindergarten class made up of nine amazing students.
Each one of my students are unique in their own way, coming in with their own strengths and challenges. All students have a diagnosis of developmental delay and/or autism and are working on learning the rules and structure of a school setting. With their diagnosis comes some obstacles such as communication, social, motor, and cognitive delays.
We are located in a low socioeconomic community and lack the proper funding to help meet all my students learning needs. Despite these challenges my goal for my students is to instill a love of learning in school and become as independent as possible in the school setting
