My Project
In Pre-K, we have students with all types of needs. Something I implemented a few years ago is snack time. Many of our students only eat while they are at school, so it is great to be able to provide them with a free breakfast, lunch and snack before they leave for the day. We have snack time at the end of our school day, every single day because who knows when the students will eat again? Snack time before dismissal helps the growling tummies and it is one of my preschoolers' favorite times of the day. They love to choose their own snack! I would love to get a few of every school year's classroom favorites! My littles always seem to love Rice Krispies, GoGo squeez fruit and Mott's Fruit Snacks!
Having a snack during the day helps manage the hunger of my students and their growing bodies, while boosting nutrition, and keeping the students fueled up for their next activity.
Snacks may also help prevent overeating at meals and for picky eaters of all ages, snacks are a chance to add more nutrients to their diets. Please help us to replenish our supply of snacks to keep our students' bellies filled, keep hunger at bay, and help students to focus on learning while at school. My students know they can always count on getting food at school. Our goal is to have happy kids, learning at their full potential. We appreciate all your support with this very important project!
