Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As we continue to tackle this school year, one thing has become apparent and that is my students are struggling to focus. Their young bodies no longer get to release as much energy as before due to the health and safety guidelines we all must follow while in school. Because of this, they lack the energy and focus needed for learning. This has prompted me to help refuel them by offering a midday snack.

Studies show that food is essential as fuel for the body.

As stated by Virginia Wolf, "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." Your contribution to this project will help me ensure that my students have the energy they need to power through the day with snacks such as trail mix, nuts, energy bars, and muffins.
