My Students

Our students are energetic, active learners. They attend a Title I school and their parents often struggle to buy supplies, uniforms, and provide lunch. The parents do try their best to send their children to school every day so they can get a proper education, meals, and exercise and play in a safe environment. The students try hard at everything they do, from in the classroom to on the playground, because they like school and feel safe at school. The teachers try equally as hard because we know they are our future and need dedicated educators who care about their success and well-being.

My Project

My students are extremely busy and engaged from the moment they walk in the door until the moment they pack up to go home. We are busy writing, exercising, singing, counting, and learning to read. It is exhausting for their little minds and they need a break during the day.

Snack time is the perfect break to help re-energize them and get them ready to continue learning for the rest of our day.

Snack time also is a great time to work on social skills and help build a community. At snack time children learn how to sit at a table and eat together and what kind of conversation is appropriate. After learning social skills and taking a short break from academics, their brains our fuel and ready to get busy all over again.
