Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a school social worker at a Title 1 school, I work with students who face daily challenges, including food insecurity.
Many arrive at school hungry, which affects their ability to focus, regulate emotions, and succeed academically.
Snacks serve not only as a basic need but also as powerful incentives to encourage positive behavior and engagement.
