Snack Station At Miss Shonna's

Help me give my students access to snacks during school when lunch is just not enough. This will allow students to feel supported and have a sense of belonging to have someone they can get help from.

My Project

The items I am requesting will make a big difference in each child's learning as this will give them the boost of energy they will need to keep going until the end of school. Most students are motivated through food and snacks and I hope to be able to provide them a space where they can come to get that. Especially when school lunch is not so good and they are still hungry. My goal is to have items they are able to choose so having a variety of snacks available during wiki, lunch and afterschool when they have to wait for their rides. My students all 714 of them are very special and are the reason I come to school each and everyday, I strive to make a difference in their academic environment as well as their home environment. I also partner with the food bank to provide pantry pick-ups once a month but even that is not enough for some students.

I currently have about 30-40 different students that visit me through out the day asking for snacks and I don't always have available.

I reach out for donations from community partners but even they don't always have anything to give. So my hopes is that with this donors choose project we can have snacks available for a little while.
