This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is about providing snacks and storage for high school students. A mini fridge is the perfect place to store juice, ice cream, and other perishable snacks. A microwave is also a helpful addition to make sure students can warm up a soup, pop popcorn, and occasionally reheat a meal. Storage shelves to organize those snacks and other essentials will help with our everyday tasks.
Having a snack station that incentivizes high school students to make positive choices is a great way to be proactive with behavior.
This gives them a place to keep their food and heat things while they simultaneously learn to take ownership and responsibility for a shared space. This space will be beneficial to the students and the staff who have access to it. It is a lot easier to teach responsibility and promote positive behaviors through incentives that students enjoy!
