Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The 5 students that would be benefiting from these snacks are on the ASD spectrum, with that being said, it’s been shown that neurodivergent people benefit from grazing throughout the day with small snacks rather than a typical food schedule (a set 3 big meals a day). My goal is to make sure we are able to meet their needs.
This snack donation will help our wonderful students stay nourished throughout the day, helping their learning experience be the best it can.
These kids are full of energy, working and playing hard throughout the day, making it extra important to fuel their bodies. They are picky eaters and don’t eat the hot lunch most of the time which makes it hard for them to meet their food needs, as well as some of our students parents struggle providing food.
