My Project

I have become the snack lady at my school. As a result, everyday I have a student in the building ask me for a snack. Some have lunch too early and others have lunch too late. It’s difficult to focus on learning if you are hungry. It is time for snack reload as I currently have no snacks.

Meeting students needs goes beyond just academics.

The first in Maslow Hierarchy of Needs is physiological and that includes food. Some of the students who ask me about snacks are not in my classroom. I want to give snacks, such as fruit snacks, granola bars, and crackers, to whoever ask whenever they ask.
