My students are bright, caring, and energetic. Most of my students have experienced trauma in their young lives. They live in an urban area in Northwest Indiana, and our school consists of students living in poverty.
While my students have encountered trauma, they continue to show strength beyond their years.
They work hard to be successful in both their schoolwork and at being a good friend.
My Project
My students come to school eager to learn. Unfortunately many of them are also hungry when they arrive.
My students' lunch schedule has been changed to being later in the afternoon.
I don't know about you, but it is hard to concentrate and complete work when one is hungry.
I am hoping the snacks that I have selected for my students will help "tide" them over until they are able to have lunch. I know they will be grateful for whatever help you are able to give to our classroom!
