My Project
Please help us restock our classroom with everyday classroom supplies and snacks. In our self contained classroom we allow our students a snack break twice a day. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon. This helps fill the sense of hunger and helps their behavior. Having snack breaks helps improve their behavior along with encouraging their brains to pay attention and stay on task. Which some days are harder to do than others. Having fidgets also help to focus their minds and have an outlet for the excessive energy.
Our students in our class all have behavioral disabilities so we try to do as much as we can to help with their behaviors.
Having access to fidgets as well as other sensory items helps our students be able to focus and regulate their emotions by providing them with an alternative option to get their energy out. We also would like to be able to provide our students with some basic hygiene products. Our students are at an age where these things are becoming a necessity that some may not have access to. By helping to fund this project you are giving our students a chance to be successful in their learning.
