Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have many students who come to my classroom during their lunch period for tutoring or stay after school for Japanese Club. During these times my students get hungry so I provide them with snacks or refreshments such as water or juice to quench their thirst. This occurs sometimes in the middle of the school day and thankfully I have emergency snacks for them on hand, so that they may focus on their schoolwork instead of their hunger.
However, we need a safe place to store our snacks for future use.
This storage containers would help my students and I manage our snack supplies for tutoring, after school and even quick emergencies uses for the middle of the school day. Other students bring tea bags or noodle cups from home and the bodega. Having an electric kettle and paper cups will go a long way in supporting my students in staying focused in their academics and extra curricular activities.
