My Students

My students are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. All of my students are diagnosed with different disabilities, and many of them are English Language Learners (ELL) as well. They come from low-income families and receive free school breakfast and lunch. Despite all this, they are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. The students in my class love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on.

My Project

Students with disabilities can become distracted easily, and that is very much the case this year with remote learning. With so many distractions at home, feeling hungry is one distraction I can control with the snacks and drinks I am requesting.

Being on the screen for so many hours is tough; sometimes a little snack is all students need to get them focused again and stay on track of their learning.

I would love to provide my students with juice boxes, goldfish crackers, a variety of cookies, pretzels, energy bars and other snacks to keep them coming back for more...learning! The snacks will allow them to keep their brains moving and perform better in class!
