This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are so unique and special. Teaching in a dual language immersion all of my students are bilingual in English and Spanish. Students entered this program in 1st Grade and have continued every year since fifth grade and by the end of their high school career they will graduate with a special certificate for completing the DLI coursework.

Being the oldest grade in the school, our students don’t eat lunch until 12:45, after a recess and a specials class.

They are hangry and it shows. These little snacks can help motivate students in their learning and keep behaviors to a minimum. The snacks that I’ve been chosen can be utilized in many ways. One package can feed more than one student. Or if a student missed breakfast a snack can be supplemental.
