My Project
My students were super engaged with all the snacks that were donated and they were so thankful. As student with special needs it is crucial to find anything to keep their spirits up and keep them motivated in their classrooms. I am not one to question what goes on in their home life and I do not want to assume as to why they are not eating at school or not eating at all, but I want to be able to provide them with the opportunity to eat whenever they are feeling hungry.
Students with special needs lose focus very easily.
Their attention span is not like those in the general education classroom. I have to use every resource I a provided or have bought on my own to support them and to motivate them. With that being said, every student is different and not every thing I give them can be motivating, but I have seen that snacks is something that keeps them engaged and wanting to at least try on a daily basis in the classroom.
