I love the school that I work at! We have such a variety of students that come to our school with very different economic backgrounds. I have had students who are homeless and are constantly trying to find places to live. I also have students who want for nothing and have more than they need or want, and a lot that fall somewhere in between! Almost every day I have a student or two who have not come to school eating breakfast and I am giving them a bag of crackers to help them get to lunch.
I always have snacks ready for school and/or ready for my students to take home if they need it.
I am asking for your help to not just help my class but to have food I can give to the office for any student in our school that might not have the security of food at home. Crackers, fruit snacks, and the variety of snacks will be helpful in securing that none of our students worry about hunger, especially while they are here at school.
More than half of students from low‑income households
