Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students receive free or reduced lunch. School is often a safe place for necessities such as food. Some of my students have lunch as early as 10:30 am which makes it a long time before heading home at 3:00 pm.
I aim to provide a variety of snacks for my students so they can focus on their schoolwork and not their hunger.
My students are amazing kids and love to learn. It is hard to focus on that learning when lunch is so early in the day. My kids deserve little snacks to support their ability to access their education.
