This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am looking to get some snacks for our classroom. A majority of my students do not have the ability to bring a snack every day to school. To have them available in the classroom will be a huge help. We know how hard it is to focus on an empty stomach. I am looking for things like a variety of potato chips, fruit snacks and Goldfish. This will help so my students are able to maintain focus during the day in between breakfast and lunch. I also send a snack home with my students at the end of the day so that I know they have a snack before dinner. We also need to replace the pencil boxes and crayons for my scholars since around the midyear point, we are down to broken nubs.
