Our classroom has been incredibly fortunate to receive the generous donations of Donors Choose participants. While donations of snacks and treats may seem small, they make an immense difference in the classroom. Our students have been better participants, engaged in deeper more thoughtful conversations, and overall, less stressed.
Students need to feel secure and comfortable in their classroom environments to give their all to their education, peers, and teacher.
It is the reason that I am, once again, fundraising snacks. This motivational tool is beyond helpful to both me as an educator and my students. If I could supply endless amounts of snacks for students- I would!
However, these fees add up, and with your support, I can maintain a classroom in which students feel safe, can comfortably ask for help, and are prepared to learn.
In our county, we are a school where 96% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and we are home to a majority of minorities. These snacks help students stay engaged and focused and make a difference more than you know.
