My Project
Most of my students live in poverty, and the meals provided at school might be the only meals they receive daily. They are often hungry upon arrival and before they leave school for the day.
As we all know, it is extremely difficult to focus on anything when you are hungry.
The requested snacks will help me provide my students with healthy snacks that will carry them through the school day. My students will also be treated to an occasional sweet treat as an incentive for a job well done.
As a Zimbabwean proverb states, "You can not tell a hungry child that you gave him food yesterday." These children deserve to have a comfortable learning environment where they do not have to concern themselves with outside factors, especially being hungry.
