My Project
Every day I have a student, especially younger students, ask for a snack. PreK and kindergarten students have lunch early which leaves them hungry later in the day. It is difficult to focus on learning if you are hungry. We are running out of snacks and it is time to restock.
Meeting students' needs goes beyond just academics. The first in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is physiological and that includes food. I want to be able to provide students with a snack whenever they ask, even if it is an older student.
