Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the privilege to teach 26 third grade students! My students and I are very grateful for your support. A little bit about my students, many of my students come from many different backgrounds. Many of my students come from homes that are unable to provide basic supplies. They are made up from many different diverse sets of backgrounds that include English language learners, special education students, gifted and talented students, and those receiving free or reduced lunches. 70% of our students are on free or reduced-price meals. My students and I are so grateful for any support.
My Project
In our third grade classroom I have twenty six growing students! Students throughout the day get hungry and having these fruit snacks, granola bars, Goldfish and other snacks on hand, will allow me to help them and their hunger. My students enjoy snack time, many of students can come to school without eating a proper breakfast and get hungry throughout the day. With these snacks I will be able to help my students take their mind off their hungry and back onto our class work and being a kid. Having these snacks in our classroom will help students feel full and hungry throughout the day. My students and I would greatly appreciate these snacks in our classroom!
