Smithing for Basics Part 2

My Students

My students are always amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.

My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.

I want to grow with them! Our school includes over 60% free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.

My Project

Every day we do extraordinary things within the walls of our classroom. My students are superheroes. They are reaching toward their goals and they are pushing themselves.

I am so proud of who they already are.

They excite me every day and I am so thankful to be their teacher.

These classroom supplies are so important to the rest of our school year. The card stock will be used in many classroom art and science projects. The washi tape is used weekly in our journals. The storage baskets will replace some broken ones in our library. The magnets, glass beads, and pendants will become beautiful gifts for our families in the months to come.

My students are working on transitions, so these new doorbells will be perfect for signals. Currently we have one doorbell and we use it to signal lunch time. I'd like these three doorbells to have different tunes to play at different transitions throughout the day.

The transfer tape and vinyl will add fun welcoming sayings to our new doors. We want parents and families to feel very welcome! The buckets will be used at our pencil-sharpening station and also around the classroom for the organization. The bench seats will replace worn chairs at our floor tables. Lastly, we just ran out of band-aids and I'd like to get some new fun band-aids to help with our daily ouches!
