We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school. I have only just received my class list and started to get to know my students' names and faces.
Third grade students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them! Our school includes over 60% free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
Although this year may look a little different whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are. #SmithTales2020
My Project
While I know this year will have some changes and many things may be different, I am excited for a year full of adventures, learning, and friendship.
I am excited to meet all our upcoming third grade students and families!
We are all doing our best to ensure every student has a positive and meaningful experience this year.
The sit spots will be used throughout the classroom for different activities and to remind my students of their worth through positive phrases.
The book bins and trays will keep all their books and materials organized and in their spots. The book bags will be able to store their books for silent reading and if we need to go virtual, they would be able to go home as well.
