Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Carpet time supports early learner's academic and social emotional skills. A classroom rug is an important space in the classroom where most of the learning takes place!
A classroom rug with individual seating spots encourages interactive discussions and group activities, bringing students together. Also, the social emotional books will help my first graders understand and manage their emotions, develop empathy, and build healthy relationships with their peers.
Students will start and end the day on this rug every day! This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.
This classroom project was brought to life by Nevada Department of Education.
