My kids walk into my room every day, ready to do their best. They know they are my "Super Stars," as I refer to them, and together, we are going to move mountains! Nearly seventy percent of them come from homes that qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, and my students are also from different countries around the world, with over thirty countries represented at our school.
My students carry their differences proudly, and I remind them regularly what Elastigirl from The Incredibles said, "Your identity is your most valuable possession.
Protect it." My students are unique in every way!
My Project
My kids have devoured some great books so far this year, such as "A Tale Dark & Grimm" and "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pies." However, they are ready to part 2 or even part 3 of some series, such as The Kingdom Keepers, Doctor Who, Bailey's Story, and more.
This project is full of sequels and other parts to series to books my kids have already enjoyed; they just need your help, so they can read the next part in the epic adventures of reading!
You know how it feels to wait for part 2 of a book to be released. Well, my kids are waiting for their teacher to find a way to put part 2 in their hands!
