My students are inquisitive, creative, and enjoy being challenged. They love collaboratively working on projects and tasks, but especially love using technology! Using the appropriate tools in order to meet their academic needs motivates them to learn more and allows them to become who they want to be, which is paramount to all of our success.

My students live in a low-income area, within a city district that is in transition. With that being said, funding is limited and used towards human capital and basic supplies.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to be able to see and hear the virtual lessons being taught more easily and effectively. While we are apart for learning, we can come together for instruction at each's own level and pace through learning centers and "games".

Virtual learning certainly doesn't have to look like a teacher in a chair on one side of the computer screen while multiple children sit still in their seats on the other. Virtual learning can be fun, entertaining, active, and educational all at one time. The teacher can get up and move, take the camera and microphone with them to write on chart paper, share artifacts, or physically demonstrate something. All the while, students can complete learning stations on the floor, in small groups, with a partner, or all of the above - even online. School, as we once knew it, has changed and we must adjust accordingly in order for our students, our futures, to be successful through every step of the way.
