Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am committed to students and their learning!! I teach students with various disabilities and I have high expectations for all students. We are in need of a classroom library consisting of books on different levels and genre. Around thirty students will participate in the use of the classroom library. They are excited about having the same books as their peers. Our school is a full inclusion school using the regular classroom as the LRE. I am team teaching in a first grade classroom which consists of three special education students and twenty-five regular education students. I need materials for the listening center and the classroom library. I service all primary special education students and the regular education students as well. Around fifty students will participate in this project. The students will be able to read at school and at home. Also I the students will be able to participate with their peers at the listening centers. Also their test scores will improve.
