My Students

My school is a public charter school providing students (learners) in grades 6-8 a hands-on STEAM, aerospace-focused, and project-based curriculum. We are the first school in the nation to be located right at an airport in Colorado. We are part of the CDE and the CCSI.

Our learners come from all over the Denver area, from Franktown to Aurora to Arvada and beyond.

This diversity brings different perspectives to our classrooms. Some of our learners have been home schooled and some are just looking for a different type of school and have found their home at CSA!

Our learners are creative thinkers and very excited about learning! Our curriculum focuses on core academic competencies, in addition to key focus areas that will prepare learners for promising careers in aerospace and technology. I teach all grade levels Exploratory/STEAM/PE.

My Project

Do you enjoy smelly stickers or smelly markers? Well how about smelly pencils? I remember the smell from my scratch and sniff to this day! What fun it was!

Smencils are scented pencils made from 100% recycled newspapers!

Learners will use the Smencils as fitness rewards for being active and to raise money for their gym and PE equipment. We are a brand new school, and need materials for our new running club and to stay active outside for PE and after school clubs. Thanks for helping us stay active!
