My Students

I teach at a school located in the inner city. Most of my students have high sensory and emotional needs. My students are sweet and loving and come from many different backgrounds. Many times my students do not have access to the educational resources that they so badly need. I'm hoping to provide resources for my students that I know they will not be able to get anywhere else. I want to provide an educational and sensory friendly atmosphere to my students.

My Project

My students will benefit greatly from having a fan and air purifier in our classroom. Our building is very old with no air conditioning! Many times my students are hot and uncomfortable! These conditions make it very difficult for them to learn. These items will keep my students comfortable and will support their health! I have also included sensory items such as gross motor activity cards and answer buzzers to meet my students needs and make class fun! They love to get up and move and learn through movement! I hope to help my students take brain breaks by getting up and moving and using those gross motor skills! Thank you for your support!
