My students are amazing! I teach in a school that is multi-cultural to the core! We are a high poverty school, but our belief is that all of our students will reach their full potential with our support.

This project will provide a smart screen that we can use throughout the day to discuss, manipulate, and learn from during reading, writing, math, and meeting times. We do a great deal of whole group talking and learning. This board will enhance that work!
My Project
The addition of a Smartboard to our classroom will allow students to bring their learning to life. Smartboard technology has been shown to increase student performance by 16%. This happens due to the ability to make learning interactive. Students can all easily see what is projected. It becomes easy to zoom into shared texts, click on links to access background knowledge, to go on virtual field trips and more. When paired with existing technology, a Smartboard will allow my first graders to share work from their devices in real time.
