This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine trying to learn a new language and complex science topics—now imagine doing that without the right tools. A Smart Board would transform our classroom, helping my English language learners visualize concepts, interact with lessons, and engage more deeply with science. Help us build a future where language isn't a barrier to discovery!What I love most about my 7th-grade English language learning science students in Chicago is their curiosity, resilience, and determination. Despite the language barriers they face, they come to class eager to explore and understand the world through science. They ask thoughtful questions, work hard to grasp complex ideas, and support one another in the learning process. A Smart Board would be an incredible tool for them—it would allow for more visual and interactive lessons, making abstract science concepts more accessible. It would foster collaboration, boost engagement, and help them build confidence in both science and English.
