My Project
I teach high school multilingual learners. I have yet to meet such a resilient and enthusiastic group of students who have left their home countries in search of better opportunities. Some of these young adults juggle school with jobs so that they can pay for rent, support families left behind in their countries of origin, or support siblings.
School periods are long - 90 minutes, and along with hungry minds, are hungry bellies.
I would like to have a supply of snacks so that I can help alleviate some of the rumblings during class. My request is to help supply my students with healthy snacks they can eat while working in class.
