My students need a Smart TV! Our classroom needs one to use for our music and movement time, to project lessons, go on virtual field trips and serve as a visual aid for our curriculum.
My students are kind, creative, energetic and eager to learn about the world around them. This class is in a small rural town in Oklahoma where we are always looking for ways to bring the best to our children!
Our Kindergarten class consists of 23 AMAZING children.
Everyday we begin our morning at our carpet greeting each other and singing and dancing. In our class we LOVE to sing and dance! No matter what we are doing these children are some of the happiest children who work their hardest everyday!
My Project
Kindergarten students learn the best when they are able to interact with it in multiple ways. When something new is taught I try to show it in different ways for the different learning styles. We use hands on activities, read books about the topic, and we also do some seat work. The one component is the digital aspect. I am asking for a Smart TV so my students will be able to interact with the topic through digital media, watching educational videos about the topic, going on virtual field trips, computer programs and music and movement.
We are very fortunate to have an AWESOME Kindergarten curriculum in place but we have not been able to use it at its full potential without having a way to project it for all of the students to see.
Having a Smart TV in our classroom will greatly enhance our learning by incorporating technology into our daily curriculum.
