My Project

My students are hard workers. They are smart and eager to learn. My students are very delayed academically due to Covid -19. They are not coming in to Kindergarten with the readiness skills required to begin our district curriculum. I’ve always had a few score red on Dibels know it’s over half of my class. These materials will give them fun, hands-on learning. The word building cards, the Sentence building puzzles and the Touch Read Sentence match will pair nicely with the materials I already have that the children are familiar with and enjoy using. The math trays will be a great addition to my manipulative stations as well as the Snap Math Centers. Don’t we all learn better by exploring and doing! That’s why I try to have a variety of materials available for all learners We have station times throughout the day and they love to go to them. They think they are playing but they are really learning and practicing what we have already studied during our carpet or group time. They love to show off their skills to me and others. I call them "Smarties" and usually give them Smart cookies which is Cookie Crisp cereal. I want them to be successful.
