The students at my school are diverse learners in many ways, and they attend a Title I school in inner-city, where free-and-reduced lunch and breakfast are offered to a majority of students.
My students are English learners, including newcomers, struggling learners and students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
The young scholars live in a high-poverty area and come from disadvantaged circumstances, but they do not let that stand in their way. My students love learning new things every day in school, and they are fascinated by interactive learning that spark their creativity and imagination.
My Project
This smart heavy-duty charging cart I am requesting is for charging, storing, and securing the scholars' funded chromebooks and ipads. My students will be able to efficiently use the devices as needed for academic success.
As fourth graders, time needs to be used wisely, so this smart charging cart provides fast, automatic, safe and eco-efficient charging system that will help the scholars eliminate transition time for loading and unloading their devices quick and efficient.
With the ability to store, charge, and secure devices effectively using the smart charging cart, the scholars will no longer be faced with the frustrations of uncharged devices or unusable devices because they are out of battery.
This project also enhances the learners productivity and accountability in the classroom. Moreover, this smart charging cart will create equity in the classroom and provide access to all students. A well-and-safe organization trains students to take good care of their equipment for continued learning.
