Today's students are heavily influenced by technology. It engages them with music, bright colors, and moving pictures. Technology helps preschoolers explore their environment and express themselves through pictures or communication icons.
I teach preschool students with special needs.
They love to listen to music or watch animated stories during circle time. My class size is increasing and it is becoming difficult to watch anything on a small computer screen. I just recently received a student with vision challenges who can't see anything unless it's enlarged. I have tried a projector in the past, but cords are a safety hazard for preschoolers. A Promethean board will allow them to see objects on the board and work cooperatively while completing teacher-directed activities.
My students like to explore by touching everything. With a smart board, they can touch and manipulate objects. For example, classifying insects by characteristics or matching shapes. There are so many uses that will help my students learn pre-academic concepts and prepare them for Kindergarten. Thank you for your generous support.
