Smart Board? Smarter Kids!

Help me give my students an interactive smart board! This will give students with various learning styles the opportunity to maximize engagement and develop technological and motor skills while giving them more opportunities to learn from each other!

My Project

I teach at a highly diverse school that implements a full inclusion philosophy. This makes it a truly special unique community where we continuously strive to develop our knowledge and skill set to meet the everchanging needs of our students.

Creating a safe, welcoming, and responsive classroom environment has been at the forefront of my educational philosophy for my entire career.

I watch the students laugh, grow, and exude the magic that I work to facilitate. In truth, I feel that I gain much more from them than they gain from me.

Watching students as they grow, open up to new ideas, and have those "light bulb" moments is a true joy. Especially when, in those "light bulb" moments, students are so eager to share their learning and insights with their friends.

This is why I am asking for your help in purchasing an interactive smart board for my students. My co-teacher and I have worked for years to create so many amazing visual, tactile and kinesthetic learning experiences using computer software throughout the years. These activities have the ability to be interactive. The only problem is that students aren't getting the full experience of interacting with activities because we do not have the technology to give them that first-hand experience.

This is where you come in. With your help toward purchasing an interactive smart board, our students will be able to take part in these learning experiences throughout the day. An interactive whiteboard will allow our students to be creative, independent and empowered.
