This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Participating in art lessons and learning about artists has been so inspiring for my first grade scholars.
My students attend a high ability magnet school.
This year, as a way to supplement the curriculum, we have had artist studies focusing on a variety of artists. My students have been so motivated by these lessons that they constantly seek books about these artists.
My Project
I would live to provide my students with 11 more books about artists we are studying. Recently we visited an art museum and we saw some more books about artists. My students all want to learn more about the artists we are studying and these books will help them do that. I am also requesting 5 book boxes to help us store our books.
It would be so great to provide students with these art books.
I feel so fortunate that my students have become so passionate about art and learning about the artists. I'd love to continue to foster this excitement.
