This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We recently received a power rack from DonorsChoose donors and a set of 45 lb plates. We are so excited to get this item in and start helping our student-athletes rebuild their bodies. We now get to start adding high-quality weights for our athletes to gain strength and functionality while getting the feel of being in the weight room with the team. We have 25 and 15-pound weights as well, but for those recovering from injury, we need smaller weight increments.
We need smaller incremental rubber weights so the athletes can safely level up.
Men's Soccer just went three rounds into the playoffs. We have one of our athletes needing to recover from surgery so that we can hopefully get to round four or five next year.
As athletes come into our facility to heal and get stronger we want to provide a high-quality environment.
We plan to purchase or request from DonorsChoose one set of each of the HulkFit colored weight plates over the next few months.
