Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our community is located in Wyoming. The parents in the community work hard to help their children learn and grow. The first grade children in my class are wonderful learners and they are hard-working. This year the children have learned more about building classroom community and including everyone. Together the children and I are building a classroom community where everyone feels included.
The children are eager learners.
They are motivated to build their background knowledge in many areas. Every child is given tier 1 instruction at grade level. We need are discovered additional groups and used and children's need are taken care of.
My Project
These tables will be used daily in the classroom. Students will work in small groups to learn critical reading and math skills. At the small group teacher tables, I will be able to work with small groups of children closely.
At the small group tables, students will be able to work closely with the teacher or a trained paraprofessional to learn critical reading skills.
The skills may be advanced skills or filling in gaps that students have in their reading. Children will also learn new math skills or have a review. These small tables will provide a small where the teachers in the classroom can work closely with the students.
