My Project

My DonorsChoose cart includes essential classroom materials that directly support K–5 students with mild to moderate disabilities. As a special education teacher, I deeply value, respect, and appreciate each of my learners and am committed to helping them thrive.

The goal of this project is to provide high-quality, engaging learning experiences for students who require targeted specialized instruction.

This project provides a combination of high-quality instructional games, literacy and math manipulatives, inclusive picture books, and essential classroom supplies.

Learning resources such as Alphabet Island, Sight Word Stomp, CVC Words Giant Activity Dice, Mini Motor Math, and Tri-FACTa addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division games allow students to practice foundational literacy and math skills through hands-on, engaging activities that support differentiated instruction and small-group learning.

To support social-emotional learning and inclusive classroom conversations, this project also includes meaningful picture books such as Ozzy and the Prickly Huggles, Melody the Unicorn and the Beauty Within, A Handful of Buttons, and The Big Umbrella.

Organizational and classroom management materials—such as the corner storage furniture, file organizers, document pockets, mesh pouches, activity trays, zipper storage bags, laminating supplies, and desk organization tools—allow me to efficiently prepare differentiated lessons, store individualized student materials, and maintain a predictable learning environment.

Dry erase boards, markers, erasers, index cards, scissors, staplers, and other daily instructional supplies are essential for data collection, visual supports, practice activities, and flexible instruction.

Together, these materials help create a classroom that is organized, calm, inclusive, and responsive to student needs. With these tools, I can continue to provide high-quality, individualized instruction that meets students where they are, honors their strengths, and supports growth across academic, social, and behavioral areas.
