Small Groups to Enhance Big Thinking

My Project

This year is my first year teaching, and I happen to be teaching second grade. My students have taught me so much, and I want to make sure that their learning is effective and memorable. Some of the ways to accomplish this is through hands on activities and games during small group. The items I have selected, such as the flash cards, and magnetic shapes will help my students work together to understand basic math concepts.

The stools will help me run my small group transitions more effectively.

For one, my class has limited chairs, and students have to drag their chairs over for small group. This causes slower transition times, and less seating at the table.
