This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school serves students from Pre-K through 5th grade. It is a title 1 school and is located in a high-poverty area. The students in my school love to play, run, sing, dance, and LEARN!

Curious, energetic, fun-loving, and sweet; my students come to school each day ready for a new adventure.

They come from all walks of life and many have been through more than I care to imagine. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and FUN place for them to come and learn, grow, and thrive.

My students are kind and caring, and they deserve nothing but the best!

My Project

Currently, we do not have a table in our classroom that is conducive to quality, small group instruction. This horseshoe table will allow me to hear and see all students and meet with them on a much more personalized level. This will aid in their instruction and in my understanding of their needs. When not in use with a small group, the table will offer another choice of seating for my students.

We use flexible seating in my classroom, and I have seen such amazing results from my students.

Most of the furniture in my classroom was either purchased by me or handcrafted by me with some help from my family. I am so thankful for the opportunity to use flexible seating, but would love to offer my students some high quality, easy to implement furniture and seating. The wobble cushions will allow for an additional choice in my classroom.
