This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach kindergarten at a diverse public school in Seattle that serves a high population of students from low-income households, multilingual learners, and students receiving special education services.
Many of my students are developing early literacy skills and benefit greatly from structured, engaging small group instruction.
This project will provide organizational tools like bins, folders, and visual supports to help create a calm, accessible learning environment where each student can thrive.
With these materials, I can better meet each student’s needs during reading time, allowing every child to grow as a confident, independent reader.
