This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher that inherited a upper grade classroom, we were without some furniture that would have made facilitating lessons to special needs students much more easier and efficient.

I am requesting help purchasing a small group kidney shaped table and stools .

The table will help students receive small group instruction without the distraction of moving their desks with every subject change. Students will be able to be face to face with their teacher and their teacher will be able to see their work and provide real time, hand over hand, instruction.

Students will be able to collaborate with not only their teacher but each other. The kidney table will help with build socialization skills and implement proper classroom routines. Small group instruction at a kidney table will allow the teacher to target specific IEP goals and better individualize instruction.

This table will be of a tremendous help to my students next year.
