Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Special education classes are filled with many different learners. We blend grade levels and abilities throughout the day. During some lessons, we may focus on grade level standards, while during other lessons, we focus on IEP goals and learning needs.
Due to this mingling and blending, having designated small group areas, accessible to all students and staff will benefit our classroom.
Currently, our classroom is filled with outdated tables that take up too much space within our small classroom. The horseshoe tables and kidney tables will allow small group collaboration, while also allowing reachable access to students that require hand-over-hand assistance.
