Our kindergarten is located in a unique and diverse urban setting in Northern New Jersey. This community strives to help all learners meet their potential regardless of their background. We strive to provide a safe place for students to grow through a variety of methods.

My Project
An easel for our classroom would provide a consist learning area to build better readers and writers. I work with students who are reading below grade level and this will help them interact with the words as I teach them new reading strategies. It is difficult to do this without and easel. We would use this easel everyday for phonics, sight words, and comprehension. It would be in our guided reading area and would allow the classroom to be student driven. It will help students focus on what is being taught and be an area for them to refer to as they progress.
