This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What makes my students truly special is their willingness to persevere, even when learning feels difficult. Their excitement when they master a new skill is inspiring!

The magnetic whiteboards, dry erase markers, erasers, and magnets I’m requesting will make a significant impact during small group instruction, particularly in developing phonemic awareness and phonics skills.

These hands-on tools will allow my students to practice segmenting and blending sounds in an interactive way. The magnetic letters will help them manipulate and build words, reinforcing letter-sound relationships and spelling patterns. The whiteboards and markers will provide an engaging way for students to write, erase, and refine their skills without fear of making mistakes.

My goal for this project is to improve my students’ phonemic awareness by giving them tactile, visual, and interactive learning experiences. These resources will help them break down words, recognize patterns, and build confidence in their reading and spelling abilities. By making learning more engaging and accessible, I hope to create a strong foundation that will support their literacy growth for years to come.

My students are special because they are eager, hardworking, and resilient. They deserve the best resources to help them succeed, and with your support, we can provide them with the tools they need to thrive!
